Terms & Conditions
Our core ethos is to support mid-career primary English educators to set up and grow their own private tutoring businesses, helping children learn to read, write and spell.
These Terms and Conditions set out how the Jigsaw Phonics Membership is delivered and the basis on which we provide services to you. Please read them carefully before purchasing. By purchasing a Membership subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms in full.
These Terms apply to all services provided under the Jigsaw Phonics Membership (“the Programme”). They cannot be varied unless agreed in writing.
By proceeding to purchase, you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms. They apply subject to any statutory consumer rights which cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Continued participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
The Jigsaw Phonics Membership is designed for educators who wish to set up, stabilise or grow a private tutoring business with primary literacy (reading, writing and spelling) as a core service.
The Programme is an ongoing membership providing structured guidance, curriculum resources and group-based support.
It is suitable for educators including:
Qualified teachers
Teaching assistants
Tutors
Teachers of English as a Foreign Language
Participants should have experience working with children aged approximately 3–11.
Membership is open to individuals aged 18 or over who wish to start or already run a tutoring business.
Formal teaching qualifications are desirable but not mandatory. However, safeguarding is essential. Members must be willing to provide evidence that they have:
Applied for or obtained an enhanced DBS check (UK), or
An equivalent criminal records check in their country of residence
We strongly recommend that members hold appropriate professional insurance and keep safeguarding training up to date.
The Programme may include, but is not limited to:
Access to ready-to-teach phonics and literacy lessons and digital resources
Regular live group calls for coaching and questions
Access to private community groups
Any additional training sessions that may be added periodically
Live group calls are led by Sandra Pyne, co-creator of Jigsaw Phonics Tutoring. Guest experts may occasionally contribute.
Calls are delivered online via Zoom and provide opportunities for questions, discussion and shared learning. Calls are recorded and made available to members.
Content shared is based on professional qualifications, teaching experience, and business training experience. All guidance is educational and general in nature.
Members are expected to behave respectfully at all times. Any behaviour deemed offensive, disruptive or inappropriate may result in immediate removal from the Programme without refund.
Each member is responsible for their own conduct. We are not responsible for the actions of other participants.
We operate on a confidentiality-first ethos: what is shared within the group should remain within the group.
We welcome and respect diversity across age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, and socio-economic background.
